CMS Migration Tool

Drupal Migration Tool

Whether you are leaving Drupal or arriving on it, the honest answer is the same shape: your writing moves, your design does not, and the rest depends on the pair. Everything below is computed from runs against live sites, not written by us. The strongest pair for Drupal today is Joomla.

What never moves, whatever you do

This is first because every migration tool on the market puts it last. A Drupal site is more than its words, and the part you recognise as your website is the part no API can carry anywhere.

  • Your design. A Drupal theme cannot become a WordPress theme, and a Webflow layout cannot become anything else. You will need a theme or a design on the new platform, and the new site will not look like the old one.
  • Page layouts built in a page builder — Elementor, Divi, the Webflow Designer, Concrete blocks. These are stored as each platform's own private arrangement and no API exposes them. The text inside them comes across; the arrangement does not.
  • Anything that is not content: forms, shops, memberships, comments, bookings, custom features. None of it is reachable through any of these APIs, by us or by anybody else.
  • Revision history, draft versions and who wrote what. Your content arrives as current content, authored by the account you connect with.

Drupal and the other eight platforms

Seven things can move: your writing, new pages, pictures, categories, SEO text, menus and redirects. For each platform below, how many of the seven survive a move whole, how many survive partly, and how many do not survive at all.

Platform Moves whole Moves partly Does not move
Concrete CMS 2 2 3 See the detail
Contentful 3 1 3 See the detail
Craft CMS 2 2 3 See the detail
Joomla 4 2 1 See the detail
Sanity 2 1 4 See the detail
Webflow 2 2 3 See the detail
Wix 3 2 2 See the detail
WordPress 4 2 1 See the detail

The answer is the same in both directions today, because every platform we have proved can be both read and written. That is a fact about the evidence, not a simplification: the day an adapter can read a platform but not write it, this page will say so.

Drupal to Joomla is the one that works best

Worked out rather than chosen: of the seven things that can move, 4 survive a move from Drupal to Joomla whole. If the evidence changes, this page recommends something else without anybody editing it.

How a move actually goes

You connect both sites the same way an AI Agent connects — a key you make yourself and can take back at any moment. We read everything out of Drupal, show you what we found and what will not survive, and write it into the new site only after you have seen the list. Nothing is published to visitors until you say so.
