Concrete CMS AI Automation

Automation is the difference between asking for one change and asking for two hundred. This page is about the second kind on Concrete CMS: what can be done to many pages at once, what can be set to happen later, and — the part that matters most — what you are shown before anything runs.

Where this one stands

Concrete CMS has a REST API, but the shape of a create request is only described in an OpenAPI document that production installations disable. Building against a guessed payload is not something this product does, so it waits for a test installation to read the real schema from.

Changing many pages at once

Not on Concrete CMS. Its interface has no safe way to apply one change across many pages from outside, so none is offered — one page at a time is what is genuinely available here.

Setting something to happen later

Not on Concrete CMS. There is no future-dating this product can set through the interface it uses here, so anything prepared stays as it is until you publish it yourself.

Putting something live

Not on Concrete CMS. Anything prepared arrives as a draft and stays there until you publish it in Concrete CMS yourself, which is a limit of the interface rather than a choice.

What runs without asking you

Nothing that changes many pages. A bulk job is prepared, shown to you with the list of what it will touch, and waits for you to approve it — and it can be stopped while it runs. This is the one place where being slower is the feature: an automation you cannot see before it fires is an automation you will eventually regret.

Common questions

Can it automate work across many pages on Concrete CMS?

No. Concrete CMS does not offer a way to apply one change across many pages through the interface this product uses, so bulk automation is not available here. That is a limit of the platform, said plainly rather than left for you to find out.

Is anything scheduled on your servers?

A bulk job you approved runs in batches on our side so a large one cannot overwhelm your website. Everything it does is an ordinary Concrete CMS action, recorded against your account.

What happens if a bulk job fails half way?

It stops and tells you where it stopped. What was already done stays done, nothing is silently retried, and you can see which pages were reached before you decide what to do next.
