Wix AI App
If you went looking for a Wix AI app, this is the page you wanted. It explains exactly what Wix AI Agent is on Wix, what goes onto your site, and what does not.
Is there a Wix app to install?
No, and that is deliberate. Nothing of ours goes onto your Wix site. Wix AI Agent works through Wix’s own published interface, which means there is no code of ours running on your server, nothing to keep updated, and nothing left behind if you stop using it.
What you actually do instead
An API key from your Wix account, sent with the id of the site it should act on.
Wix only issues API keys at account level, never to a single site, so the key reaches more than this product uses. That is Wix's design rather than a choice here, and it is worth knowing before you create one.
What the platform does not allow
The blog, and nothing else. Pages, sections, the store and the design of a Wix site are not reachable by an outside service at all. A Wix site without a blog gets nothing from this product.
Why it works this way
Installing software on somebody’s website is a liability: it has to be updated, it can break on an upgrade, and it keeps running after they stop paying. Where Wix gives us a published interface, using it is better for you than giving you one more thing to maintain.
Everything above describes what Wix’s interface offers. None of it is marked verified yet, which in this product means exercised against a live installation with the date recorded.
Common questions
Where do I download the Wix AI app?
There is nothing to download unless the section above says otherwise. You connect your Wix site from your account here, and the connection is what does the work.
Will it slow my Wix site down?
Nothing of ours runs on your Wix site unless the section above says otherwise, so there is nothing of ours to slow it down. Requests arrive from outside, like any other client of your Wix interface.
What happens on my Wix site if I cancel?
Your content stays exactly as it is. You revoke the credential you created, and that is the end of it — nothing of ours remains behind to remove.
